Need to know more about electrical generators? With the rising costs on just about everything in life, it is no wonder that people are looking for alternative ways to make their own home electricity and cut back on their current power bill. Free energy is and isn’t possible. But it is very possible to create extremely cheap electricity from your own home and stop giving money to the power companies. You’ve no doubt heard of solar and wind power. Even though they have been around for some time, they didn’t deliver on allowing home owners to create cheap and almost free power. So what is wrong with solar power and wind power? Solar and wind power suffer from extremely high installation costs and that you need to use them for many years before you even start saving. The setup costs of solar can easily clock over a couple thousand of dollars and this is hard on anyone’s financial situation. Would you be happy waiting ten or more years just before the solar or wind power setup started to pay off? Probably not. Solar and wind power sound good in theory, but they fail to deliver in the real world. Magnetic generators, however, deliver on their promise of giving home owners a viable solution that lets them create green power and save money with electrical generators. A magnetic generator is able to create green and clean electricity using nothing more than simple magnets. You won’t even need to spend much money to get one of these generators running. Many people would be amazed if they knew that you could setup a generator and start making your own home electricity for just over $100. If you are looking for electrical generators, magnetic generators are any home owners most viable solution when it comes to creating your own home power and cutting back what you spend on power each month.

Are you looking for a way to slash your power bill and how to make electricity? Power your own home with a magnetic generator. A magnetic power generator is the answer to creating your own clean electricity at home with electrical generators.

A homemade electric generator is just one solution to making your own electricity. ? More and more people are looking for alternative methods to create power. The reasons for this vary but the most popular are that if you create your own power you can cut down how much you spend on your home power bill and also creating your own power can help the planet by reducing the amount of pollution produced. The best way you or any home owner can do this is with a magnetic generator. Any method of creating power that reduces the amount of pollution we create and how much we spend on electricity is good. Solar and wind power both allow the creation of so called green electricity. Why aren’t they so widespread and adopted then? This is because these two methods of creating power have some major drawbacks. This being that they rely on external sources of power to create their electricity. Wind turbines will only spin if there is sufficient wind. They also require enormous amounts of space. If you have a home or apartment this obviously means there is very little chance you’ll be able to install a wind turbine on your roof. Magnetic generators are perpetual motion devices. When they start they continue to work and operate forever. They never stop. This translates into magnetic generators being able to create electricity forever without ever needing to stop. This is one of the main advantages of magnetic power generators. They create electricity without relying on any outside source of power. Solar power needs the sun and wind power the wind, but magnetic generators require nothing else and they function completely off the grid. Just how do they function then? As the name hints, magnetic generators generate power through the use of magnets. Get your own homemade electric generator and stop wasting money on your power bill, help save the planet and produce your own free electricity at home. ? A magnetic generator allows you to do this from your very home. They are efficient, very inexpensive to build and rely on no outside source of power to create free electricity for your home.

Are you looking for a way to slash your power bill and how to build your own homemade electric generator?

This heating season, you probably want to save money on your energy use. This is especially true during this winter?s cold snap that has affected much of the country as far south as Miami and Houston. But that might not be the only reason. You might find that your home?s HVAC system is always running hard but can?t adequately heat your home. Or some rooms in your house seem cooler or hotter than others. Maybe you noticed a mold or mildew problem in a room other than your bathroom. Perhaps your water heater can?t keep up with demand. You can fix these problems by starting with a home energy audit. How does a home energy audit work? An energy audit looks at several specific features of your home. First, it lists the characteristics of your home?s thermal envelope: walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, and skylights. Each of these features has a specific R-value, which is a measurement of the resistance to heat flow. The higher the resistance (or R-value), the better the insulative quality. Another factor is the leakage rate or how much outside air infiltrates into your home. Drafty doors and windows are the primary culprits here, however, other features of your home?s construction, age, orientation to the sun, and physical condition will have an effect. A third area to look at is your home?s mechanical system ? the heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC) as well as the heating water. Energy Star provides a Home Energy Yardstick website so you can compare your household?s energy use to the rest of the country. The site is a good place to start and gives some basic recommendations about making home energy efficiency improvements. Generally, performing your own energy audit will help you discover most of the major energy usage problems in your house. For example, locating and sealing air leaks will help you save money and make your home more comfortable. An easy way is to wet your hand and then feel for drafts around: Electrical outlets Switch plates Window frames Baseboards Weather stripping around doors Fireplace dampers Attic hatches Wall or window-mounted air conditioners. Look and feel for gaps where pipes and wires enter a wall. Also check where your floor meets the foundation. And don?t forget mail slots. Check to see if caulking and weather stripping are applied properly and in good condition. Every house and lifestyle, is different. It?s safe to say that climate and location are primary factors in how your home performs. The other major factor is how you use energy in your home. When combined with information about local weather, the home?s thermostat settings, as well as energy bills for a 12 month period (24 is more accurate), an energy audit can render a more accurate picture of how your home uses energy. Unless you already have a few years experience of belly-crawling the dusty, cramped spaces of your home to weather-seal it, you should consider having a professional visit and perform an energy audit. Now you might think all an energy auditor does is seal a fan onto your front door and then prowl your house looking for drafts. Sure, they might perform this test, but not only do you get the benefit of their years of training and experience, you also gain from a fresh perspective. Professionals can often see things you have overlooked that can help you save on your energy costs and be more energy efficient. For example, a slight discoloration along a corner of your living room wall might indicate an unsealed gap in your home?s framing that lets in cold air and moisture. This and other hidden heat loss can also be detected with heat-sensitive cameras, a tool most homeowners don?t own. A qualified energy auditor can also give you an informed choice of options. Some fixes might just require a tube of $4. 00 caulk to save you $100. 00 in energy costs. Some fixes might be more expensive but can be done over time. An energy auditor can make recommendations for improvements and solutions based on what they learn about your living habits, needs, and budget. This can include efficient low-wattage lighting fixtures, getting the best insulation for your buck, as well was Energy Star rated appliances and upgrades so you can take advantage of both Federal and State rebate offers. Remember, not only will an energy audit show you where to start saving money to heat your home this winter but it will identify cooling problems that cost you during the hot summer months. But whether or not you decide to do it yourself or consult a professional, you should do it as soon as possible so you can identify your home?s problems and develop a plan of action. After all, making your home energy efficient not only saves money, energy, and natural resources, it also makes your home more comfortable and enjoyable for you and your family.

You can provide free electricity to you home by building a diy electric generator. This electric generator is Powered by magnets so they do not need an outside source like fuel to run. Magnet generators is an easy design that 11 year old can build. Permanent Magnet generators can be built and ready to go for a cost of under $200. This Diy electric generator is not bulky and does not need fuel to run it. The magnet generator includes a generator shaft, rotors secured with the shaft, each rotor including a plate shaped structure having a permanent magnet attached to it, and a stator coil. All parts are easy accessible that can be found in an hardware. Magnet power generator are proven to be energy efficient. We need to do something about the rising prices in energy cost. TUltility prices are steadily rising because of high demand and government eviromental regulation for electric companies to improve their plants to be more eviroment friendly. Magnet generator is a new step in alternative energy technology because of its nature. Magnetic power generator is capable of reducing your electricity to 50% to 100% just think of the money you could save. . No specialist equipment or tools are required to build your permanent magnet generator. Most people have at least some form of basic tool kit and this should be all that’s required for you to get started. This technology has been kept secret by big electrical companies because once everyone start powering there homes with permanent generators they would lose millions of dollar. By transfering to magnet generator you will be saving thousands a year while stopping electrical companies from raising there rates each year. Now lets take advantage of this simple technology and build your own diy electric generator so you can produce free electricity.

Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) currently operates two home energy conservation programs where the participant house owners may be reimbursed the total cost they incur while carrying out certain home energy improvements. One such improvement is the cavity wall insulation. Cavity walls provide a convenient structural design to support wall insulation material.

Cavity Walls

Cavity walls are external building walls which incorporate an air gap which may be within the wall structure itself (for e.g. Hollow block walls) or between two solid walls (or between two partitions having a narrow air gap separating them). The latter technique was widely used in houses constructed between 1932 to 1982.

Almost all houses constructed after 1982 adopted the cavity wall technique with or without the use of insulation.

Why do you need insulation in cavity wall?

The wall cavity maintains an air gap which is a good insulation. (In fact it is about the best available conveniently and almost all other manufactured insulation material incorporates air bubbles or spaces in order to gain this advantage). When the cavity width between the two walls exceed a certain critical dimension the air within the gap start moving about due to convection (convection currents) which start assisting heat transfer from the warmer to the colder side rather than blocking it.

Porous insulation fill will restrict the air movement within the cavity providing optimized insulation quality.

How to find out whether your house has cavity walls

All houses built during the last 25 years are almost certain to have cavity walls. It is possible these may be insulated too. Houses built during the 50 years prior to that are also likely to have cavity walls but may not have any insulation.

A sure giveaway sign is the brick pattern of the exterior wall. In general wall bricks are laid in 3 patterns. viz;

Stretcher bond Flemish bond

And,

English bond

Of these only the stretcher bond patterned brick walls will have a wall cavity. A stretcher bond patterned brick wall will have the bricks laid flat on side and in a linear manner i.e. bricks laid end to end.

Another tell tale sign is the width of the total wall. Due to the incorporated cavity the width is in excess of the normal 300 mm width you would expect it to have.

It is always better to get a skilled person with proper tools to give advice on these matters. Normally they drill holes in the wall and collect data to find out the details of the air gap, insulation material (if any), and the present condition of it.

Types of insulation for cavity walls

The commonly used materials are;

Fibreglass or mineral wool with short strands Cellulose loose fill or stabilized cellulose Phenolic and other Synthetic foam cavity board ?(Used in new constructions only).

Cavity wall insulation if it is a retrofit in an existing house will not take more than 3 or 4 hours. Of course it has to be handled by a skilled person with specialized tools. They would drill holes in the existing external wall at regular intervals, insert a special nozzle and blow short strands of insulation material in to the wall cavity. If the house is being constructed anew phenolic foam rigid board or expanded polystyrene foam boards too may be used.

This article focuses on planning and installing a residential home wind power generation system, not as much on how a wind energy system works.

Wind power generation, an alternative and renewable energy source, has seen a dramatic increase in the last few years. Technological advances make it more and more feasible to install wind power generators for individual homes. The newer systems are more efficient and quieter.

Not every geographical location however, is suited for installing a wind power generator. A consistent wind, with average speeds of approximately 11 miles per hour is required to make a wind energy system feasible. Lower wind speeds can be suitable for battery charging and water pumping in your remote weekend cottage.

Wind availability maps are published by the US National Renewable Energy Lab. You can get a general idea from these maps if you are living in a state and county with sufficiently high winds.

Once you confirm this, you will need to also check if your exact location experiences the required, consistent average wind speeds. If your home, your property is located on the side of a hill, your sheltered location might not provide the required wind speeds. Maybe you can install the wind turbine high enough, to just extend it over the ridge. You will then possibly be able to pick up sufficient wind.

Local wind maps, can also be found at the National Renewable Energy Lab. These maps howver, are not very easy to read and understand. Fortunately though, you can simply contact a wind power manufacturer, such as those listed in the American Wind Energy Association website. They can tell you if it is feasible to install a wind power generator for your home.

At this point, just get some general information about the feasibility of installing a wind power system for your home. You have some more checking to do, before you spend a lot of your and the manufacturer’s time on details.

Next step is to check the local codes and requirements. Your town might have some bylaws, or if you live in a subdivision, there might be restrictions in place, that will not allow you to install a wind power generator for your home. Don’t let that deter you! Get a petition going in your town or city to change the bylaws.

Talk to the neighbor hood association. Who knows, maybe the whole subdivision will end up supporting a wind power generator for all the homes!

Don’t forget to also talk to your neighbors. Unfortunately, some people still believe that all wind energy generators are noisy and kill birds. Inform the neighbors as you investigate and learn more.

Once you know that no local laws, regulations, neighbors or neighbor hood associations will stop you, it is time to talk to the manufacturers again.

I recommend talking to at least two different wind power manufacturers with different types of rotors, such as horizontal propeller blades, or vertical ‘egg beater’ blades. Each of these has advantages and disadvantages. You want to make sure that the type of system you end up installing is the best for your particular application.

Ask the manufacturer a lot of questions, such as:

- How much clearance is required around the tower and rotor blades?

- How tall will the wind tower be?

- What are the noise emissions? Do they have certified sound data?

- How many installations have they done? Can you go see one?

- What output can you expect from their system?

- What is the installed cost per kilowatt-hour?

- What kind of warranties do they provide?

- What will they need from you to do to make it happen? (besides money)

- Will they apply for the required permits?

- Will they make the connection to the electric grid?

- Will you have to hire a general contractor?

Compare all the answers between the different models and manufacturers and then you can make an educated decision.

A handful of States provide some incentives for installing small wind power systems. Check with your state and local governments. Another option could be to get a reduced-rate mortgage for adding the wind power system. Check with your mortgage company or mortgage broker.

If you find after doing all this research, that wind power is not the solution for you, then maybe a solar photovoltaic system is your solution.

I do hope that you will be able to install either a solar energy system or a wind power generator for your home.
