If it happens to be that you’re starting to wonder about electricity generated by wind turbines join the club! take a look at the following few paragraphs – you are going to find it super important. Electric companies charge most of us high prices for heat and lights; but there is a little-known system that can supply all your needs direct from mother nature without spending a lot of time and money.

“too good to be true,” you might be thinking, but the truth is that anyone can create sufficient energy for their entire household to run as it does now, and no longer be a victim of price-gouging energy suppliers. Take a look at this utopia – freedom from expensive bills for a staple such as electricity, only an abundant energy supply for all your needs.

Just before you search the internet for more information about electricity generated by wind turbines; i want to make clear to you the exciting new reality that you can make use of a system which is already enjoyed by many energy consumers in this country and even in far away countries that gives you the power to seriously decrease your power bill if not eliminate it once and for all! So this sounds great, and now you want to know what kind of a ‘magic trick’ this is; you just need to use what mother nature has provided – taking natural energy sources and transforming them into electricity, on your own property in almost no time and with no outside help required. The most amazing part about this is that it can be done by anyone, even if you have minimal technical skills and even if the concept of electricity is a mystery to you.

As you continue to research the topic of electricity generated by wind turbines, here’s the scoop on another benefit – by generating your own energy, you are using clean earth-friendly energy and on top of that, you can even make the electric company pay you for your self-produced energy. Just picture using your air-conditioning system without thinking about the next payment, and even getting paid for the extra energy you produce. Does this sound impossible? Go ahead and give in to your curiosity – just see what’s involved; I’m positive that you’ll want to get started on this right away.

Gas prices continue to increase, with no end in sight. This trend further accentuates the need for every human to purchase more fuel efficient cars. Having an automobile with good fuel economy is not only helpful in saving money, but it is also an integral part of repairing the environment.

The official definition of fuel economy is how much gas is needed to move a certain distance. In the United States, fuel economy is measured in miles per gallon, while in the rest of the world, it is mostly calculated in liters per one hundred kilometers. These measuring systems vary greatly; a higher number in the US system is optimal, while a lower number is desired in the metric system (the lower the number, the lower the amount of fuel needed to travel one hundred kilometers).

Governments are taking notice of the importance of fuel economy, and are establishing guidelines which will regulate efficiency in the future. The European Union has decided that, starting in 2012, gasoline cars must have at least a 47mpg rating, and diesel cars must have at least a 52mpg rating. The United States currently taxes vehicles that do not adhere to environmental standards, as a means of discouraging their production. These taxes and penalties are expected to increase drastically within the next few years.

Engineers are constantly working to find ways to increase the fuel efficiency of vehicles. Several factors affect fuel economy, so it is a matter of altering those factors to produce better efficiency. The weight of a car is one of the biggest factors in fuel economy, so engineers are always trying to make cars lighter.

This can be done through replacing traditional materials, such as iron, with alternative options like carbon fiber. Wind resistance and drag require cars to exert energy to overcome them, so vehicles that are designed to experience these factors minimally have better fuel economies. Anything that can increase or save energy is beneficial. For example, shutting off the engine while the car is stopped saves energy.

Improving the efficiency of engine combustion is a key factor. Most engines only exploit 10-20% of the energy released from burning fuel; the rest is lost to heat and other forms of energy. Fuel cells are so desirable because up to 80% of their produced energy can be directly utilized. Different types of combustion, such as lean burn and HCCI combustion are being tested to identify what method is most efficient.

Average consumers can play their part in increasing the fuel economy of their vehicles. Fuel efficiency increasing products are popular in the market right now, but most of them do not actually improve efficiency at all. Simple things, like keeping the air pressure in tires high, and slowly accelerating and decelerating, can expand a vehicle’s rating a fair degree.

Hybrid cars are the best option currently for those who want speed and great fuel economy. These models combine electrical and gasoline engine components to create something which does not feel like an electric car at all. Hybrid vehicles recapture wasted energy during breaking, shut off gasoline power during idle periods, and utilize gas and electric power simultaneously to reduce the total amount of fuel consumed. All of these factors combined result in fuel ratings of over 50mpg, as well as lower emissions.

With the way the energy crisis is growing, soon the fossil fuels that we rely on will be gone or so overpriced, that very few people will be able to afford it. Researchers have been creating new and innovating ways to create energy out of the natural resources that Mother Nature provides. Even though the wind has been a source of power for hundreds of years, it is not until recent decades that it was considered on a large scale.

There are many different types of natural resources that researchers have found promising, however, wind power is the most promising and least expensive renewable power source. There is however a downside to wind power; its variable nature because wind doesn’t always blow researchers must determine the effects it will have, however, wind power has been determined to be stable, because its cost does not fluctuate with the price of fuel.

Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into useful form, such as electricity, using wind turbines. It is used in large-scale wind farms and for national electrical grids as well as in small individual turbines for providing electricity to rural residences where traditional power is not offered.

Wind power is versatile when air moves, causing wind, it has kinetic energy?the energy created whenever mass is in motion. It is especially helpful here in the winter to capture both the ferocious and gentle mountain winds during the times of least sunlight and highest power use.

Wind Power is clean and renewable type of energy, and should be considered an important component of any long-term energy strategy. This is because wind power generation uses a natural and virtually inexhaustible source of power, (the wind) to produce electricity.

Wind power is an affordable, efficient and inexhaustible source of electricity. It is set to become an important means of generating electricity worldwide. Wind power has become the world’s fastest growing energy source, It a viable, robust, fast-growing industry. Wind power is growing partly as a result of technology improvements and cost reductions and partly in response to state and federal laws and incentives.

Wind power is by far the renewable source with the largest growth in worldwide capacity during the last decade. Wind power is now a major option for new, utility-scale power generation. It does not even compete with the prices of fossil fuels, which are continually rising on a daily basis.

alternative energy training

american solar energy

Solar School – American Solar Energy – The Education of the Future

Solar school classes are being offered in the growing solar technology field. As the increase for alternative fuel sources is being pushed through government programs, solar school curriculum prepare students to become certified in different areas of the field. The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is the certification body, which offers exams in becoming Photovoltaic System Installer or Entry Level Knowledge certified.

Solar school offers Associate of Applied Science Renewable Energy Specialization programs along with Solar Thermal Power and Solar Photovoltaic courses. Some solar school classes may reside within other areas of universities, colleges and trade schools. Undergraduate courses are offered in solar energy systems and design, while some solar energy programs may reside in Mechanical engineering courses. Whatever the area of solar technology, with it is anticipated that there will not be enough trained and certified personnel to fill job opportunities.

While the economy has taken many job markets and wrecked havoc, the solar technology and emerging “green” collar jobs and alternative energy training is growing faster than the economy. It is expected that between 16 and 37 million workers will be in the alternative fuel jobs within the next two decades. This is part of the government’s programs in public schools where solar energy is already being taught to school age children. Unfortunately, the adult population is fairly unknowledgeable of this growing field.

Solar school funding includes scholarships, some of them 100%, yet this money has not been fully tapped and solar school classes are not completely full. Solar technology is expected to have 5 million jobs by 2012, but many of them will go unfilled unless more students change their focus to this growing occupational field. Whether it is architect, engineering, installing or system research and design, there is expected to be an insufficient number of alternative energy training programs as well as trained and certified personnel.

Existing building and construction companies have started to send personnel to solar school in an effort to stay ahead of the game and gain the “green” building initiatives that are being undertaken across the United States and overseas. The governments do not want to wait for the next oil crisis to start initiatives in finding alternatives for energy.

Those that direct their efforts towards american solar energy and getting the education, knowledge, certifications and hands-on experience in the beginning efforts will be the most rewarded later on. By getting in solar school and staying with the ever-developing technology, job applicants will be highly sought after and highly indispensable. “Green” collar jobs are expected to replace many of the lost “blue” collar jobs, and government budgeting is very aggressive towards this reality.

There are many sources to find more information regarding alternative energy training, solar school classes, and many communities are offering smaller workshops to offer natural building tips using renewable and sustainable energy sources. Existing construction is finding more clients demanding solar systems as tax credits, utility rebates and energy cost savings make them too good to pass up. Those that are trained and certified in designing, engineering, installing and wiring them will have the upper advantage on these types of jobs. Whether you are an existing electrician, engineer or installer, it is to your advantage to go to solar school to get the knowledge and certifications that are available.

Despite opportunities in environmental jobs increasing, the economic slowdown has translated into increasing economic worries for a large portion of America’s workforce. A good thing that is forecasted to come out of this economic disaster is a surge of green jobs that should put more people back to work than originally were laid off. This is one ofthe many reasons
Green Degree Courses are one of the most sought after tracks in North America.

With the economic crisis on the rise, how can a renewable energy company survive the harsh global market? There are more than just three ways on how a sustainable energy business can thrive under the world’s current situation. But for now we will be limiting ourselves to the best tips there is. It is best that a clean? energy company remain optimistic and make this economic crisis into an opportunity.

Renewable energy solutions are a great alternative for a more cost efficient living. Soaring demands for energy as well as its prizes made consumers more aware of how they use available electricity. This is where a clean energy company should grasp the opportunity. By marketing what sustainable energy could do to help people conserve. For example, cut down future expenses by installing solar panels that will help warm down water for immediate consumption. Innovate something fresh that will catch the attention of environment conscious consumers. For example, other clean energy company decided to showcase their best innovation by coming up with their very own specialized product. It could be a solar powered vehicle or better yet, a solar power home appliance that can really cut down the cost!

Going green is the best way to be. Persuade consumers that green is in! Renewable energy marketing must convince people of all ages to join the campaign. Media exposure is a must to constantly attract consumers and investors alike to join the campaign. To ease up the pressure, join the flow for low carbon footprint. People wants to see a more concrete and realistic approach to this global financial crisis. While green energy marketing sells the company as environmental friendly it is better to develop the company towards it. A low carbon emitting head quarter and eco friendly office supply may help ease the pressure on the part of the company. With a little help from the media the company can promote how much they cut costs with the help of clean energy solutions that the company came up with. A company that runs in solidarity in achieving its goal is one of the best things that you could offer to the people.

Business is not all business. Contributing to Mother Nature and sustaining future is very important. The essence of it all lies in the beauty of preserving the ecology and help build a better tomorrow. A sustainable energy company should be able to market the wonders of nature and why it should be preserved. Social awareness is as important as making profit for the company. Giving a little something back to nature might rake in the blessings someday.

Remember that renewable energy is the future of energy consumption. Production of clean electricity is what sets you apart from other energy producing companies. Competing in global market does not mean to lower standards to increase efficiency. Quality and to offer the best services as a company should be top priority to meet consumer expectations.

Shirlyn Dee is a co-owner of Keen Partnerships, a pioneer renewable energy marketing company. Keen Partnerships acknowledge the fact that the renewable energy company startups need due exposure, and has the resources and manpower to give quality Internet marketing services for renewable energy players. She has successfully deployed sites, and has been in the Internet Marketing industry since 2005.

Methane is generated within 6 to eighteen months after solid waste is put in a landfill. Peak production starts roughly a year after deposit in most established landfills, but serious volumes of the gas can be generated for 20 or more years after that when a landfill gas to energy scheme is installed, depending on the individual landfill traits. Generating energy from landfill gas in such landfill gas to energy projects doesn’t only mean decreasing its jeopardy towards our climate ; it also serves then as a substitute for fossil fuels, for example natural gas.

Such a waste-to-energy ( landfill gas to energy ) project is a demonstration of how we, as a society, can transform long-held climate changing practices into more environmentally sustainable actions. In the US and many other states this is exactly what’s been done. For example, there are way more than 400 landfill gas to energy power projects today in the united states already. The reason being because even lining and capping will not stop a large amount of the gas escaping.

Methane is around 21 times more powerful than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas and allowing methane escape to the atmosphere would have significant global warming implications.

Methane also has a short, ten year, atmospheric life. Methane is a very powerful greenhouse gas and for that reason is a key contributor to world climate change.

In several less developed nations methane emissions from landfills represent a lost opportunity to capture and use a important energy resource. This is also significant for landfill gas to energy projects as when released into the air, it’s not only a greenhouse gas it also contributes to local air pollution.

Many countries have their own schemes to inspire renewable energy production life landfill gas to energy projects. These Green Certificates ( sometimes called green tags or replaceable energy certificates, and in the United Kingdom’ROCS’ ) act like a claim check on each megawatt hour of replaceable electricity delivered to the grid, and they apply to landfill gas to energy schemes. Such green power when acquired by the electricity user supports renewable energy development.

This is in addition to the more traditional categories of power plants.

For that reason, energy recovery from methane, where economically reasonable, is of considerable benefit to the environment.

For an example of the benefits of landfill gas to energy, the US Environmental Protection Agency’s dump Methane Outreach Program has reportedly aided in developing over 325 landfill gas to energy projects in the past 12 years. These have reduced methane emissions by about ninety million metric tons of CO2 equivalent. Across the nation there are reports that there were more than 400 landfill gas to energy projects in operation in 2006 alone, these projects provided over ten bill kilo watt hours of electricity and seventy five bln cubic feet of landfill gas to corporate and state end users.

Many are the lies that have been told to you concerning nuclear power.
As we say in Italian: ?Lies have short legs? meaning that they cannot go far away, this is exactly the case of all the lies spread out in the past 20 years or so about nuclear power.
It?s time to fight these lies without any mercy, the same way they were ruthlessly thrown to us.

It?s common to think that nuclear energy is one of the cheapest energy sources available.
This is the biggest lie ever, in fact if you count what it takes to produce 1 kW of electricity, it’s not cheap at all. I won?t go very deep into the price details for now.
I only want you to consider what is needed to produce electricity from this source.

First of all we need a power plant.
There are actually several classifications for power plants that exploit nuclear energy, depending on the type of reactor they use, but to make things easy we?ll classify them by generations.
Five are the generations of reactors, the fourth of which is still under development and the fifth has been considered only theoretically.
Nuclear power plants, apart from the generation of the reactor they use, are one of the most sophisticated, dangerous and complex energy systems ever designed to boil water to generate electricity.
Several are the security systems and extensive backups used in a nuclear power plant to avoid accidents (I?m only talking about the reactor itself now) and each reactor needs about a thousand people to make it work smoothly.
As you know, big and complicated things that require a lot of specialized personnel are also very expensive to maintain.
Do you think that the construction of such a structure is cheap?
No, it?s not.
Building and running a nuclear power plant is not cheap at all. So, how is it?possible to consider the energy it produces the cheapest? ?
And, what about the fuel?

Yes, exactly, what about the fuel?
Obviously the fuel needed to activate a reactor is not found at the supermarket round the corner. Once?found, it?s not ready to be used?yet, needs some special (meaning EXPENSIVE) treatment and after use becomes waste. And what a waste!
Unlike?a banana skin which is depleted in a very short time without leaving any danger into the environment, the waste of a reactor?is dangerous for more than a hundred years to come if?we are talking about?low level waste and more than a thousand if it?s high level waste. Yes, you are right, this means more money to spend?trying to hide this waste in some secure place in order not to?poison us in any way, hopefully!
How possibly may it be cheap and safe as someone dare?say?

Exploiting nuclear energy for electricity purposes is a very dangerous choice that accident after accident, disaster after disaster, has demonstrated not only its inconvenience but also its uselessness.

Of course we are aware of a really small percentage of nuclear accidents and that?s why we all think it?s the safest resource, but let me tell you that in the past 50 years countless accidents have occurred all across the world killing, poisoning and damaging people as well as the environment.
You don?t have to take my word as it is, just put in the search box of your favorite browser some keywords such as ?nuclear accidents?, ?civilian nuclear accidents? or ?nuclear disasters? and you?ll be shocked of what will come out.
It?s very interesting to see that only in the past 20 years most of the accidents have occurred in Europe and in the States.

If after this you still think that this is safe and cheap energy you should start questioning yourself about many things in life.

Biodiesel ? the fuel of the future is still not a practicable fuel like other resources. The reason for that is that we still unable to produce enough vegetable oil to produce the amount of fuel required. As you already read some article about biodiesel (and if you didn??t ? start now biodiesel) you probably knows that already.

Bio diesel and biofuels in general, don?t only raise concerns about the production capacity but also originated fear about the possibility that we will found ourselves with a nutrition shortage, if we will use our crops for fuel instead of food.

Here I present 3 future alternatives for biodiesel source:

Algae ? one of the most promising sources for renewable energy is unicellular algae. algae is a primitive photosynthetic creature that can efficiently convert carbon dioxide to sugars and fats, Since it is easy to grow and harvest it, and its growth rate is very high, It promises a great foundation for developing a biodiesel factory that can produce an enormous amount of biofuel with low cost, and without jeopardising our food supply.

Another promising source of renewable energy is agriculture waste! a vast amount of organic waste is being produced all the time. We use to throw this waste away since we are unable to reuse it, because it is mostly made of cellulose which is hard to break with normal means. But there are bacteria which are able to digest and bread cellulose easily. Most of these bacteria live in symbiosis with cellulose eating animals like cows or termites. Scientists are now works on a way to use these germs to digest agriculture waste and use it for biofuel production.

Third, the future of biofuels might be held in the hands of genetic engineers. The major advances in the fields of genetic manipulation of plants, promises the ability to manipulate plants and bacteria in the future to produce much more oil, in a more efficient way, to solve the insufficient production of the present.

If you are a green energy enthusiast like me, you?ll soon find out that biofuels are probably will be the renewable resource of the near future, and some of the ideas proposed here might make it happen soon.

Bio-gas or methane is made up of CH4 and CO2 in a mixture of about 70% to 29% with other trace gases. Methane is currently being used in India and Thailand in cars and trucks in lieu of gasoline or diesel fuel. Methane is the gas of the future because it’s easy to make in the process known as digestion.
A methane digester is a simple devise that can produce methane easily and cheaply. One reason it hasn’t caught on in colder places of the world is because methane needs to be hot in order to digest organic materials.
Methane production takes place in an oxygen free environment. Anaerobic bacteria with the lack of oxygen and the abundance of organic matter will begin the decomposition process. This process will produce Methane gas and low-odor effluent. The temperature needs to be held constant at 95 F and the PH between 6.6 and 7.6 to keep optimal conditions. Organic matter must be feed into the loop in order to allow the microbes to feed.
This process is very easy to control on a small farm level. The gas produced can run generators that produce electricity or can be compressed to run in cars. Because of the high levels of CO2 in bio-gas, the gas should be sweetened or enriched to remove most of the CO2. This will also allow equipment to run better as many of the trace gases in methane are very corrosive.
Many small farms in countries like India and Nepal use bio-gas for cooking and heating. They produce the gas in small pits and pipe the gas into their simple homes. Waste from 2-3 cows will provide lights and cooking for a few families hooked up on the gas line. The small digesters look like concrete igloos.
I believe that methane produced in small scale size digesters could be the answer to the fuel problems of the 21st century. The garage size digester is my idea of producing Methane gas that can be compressed and burned in your car for fuel. Making a small scale machine is feasible but compressing the gas is a technology that is currently lacking in the market place.
Methane production is isn’t something you start and stop. The methane producing microbes need constant feeding of organic substance in order to survive. One day may be the long looked for trick to controlling the product rate and output of methane gas. This is what is needed to make a home system feasible for methane production.
In conclusion, methane gas is a good alternative to gasoline combustion because it breaks down to co2 and water when burned in combustible engines. It burns clean and can be produced from organic waste which is plentiful in households across the modern world. The use of Methane digesters can eliminate thousands of tons of landfill waste that produces methane released in the air causing global warming and the reduction of use of fossil fuels use for the purpose of transportation.

Anything that is consumable is marketable. Those who are on top of the biz know how to sell all sorts of items and renewable energy is not an exception.

To boost sales of these renewable energy companies, they really have to sell it. It is not enough to say that renewable energy can sustain human life for future generation. Not all are conscious of the future and what awaits the generations to come. Going green really should sell everything they got!

1. Better education is better profit

The world’s condition is already at its alerting stage. More and more people are seeking alternative energy providers to sustain their daily living. Renewable energy marketing is a perfect opportunity to increase the level of awareness of the people and make use of the chance to permeate the consumer’s will to purchase.

Since renewable energy does not come cheap consumer are doubtful in purchasing such equipments. It is timely and tiring to constantly promote renewable energy and at the same time address environmental issues that can be solved with the use of renewable energy. But be rest assured that efforts are not left in vain.

2. Positive renewable energy marketing is additional cookie points

No matter how much people doubt products, always remember that it is the same for almost every product in the market. A good company would like to sell their product in accordance to how they would like the product is perceived by the market. However, a better company would inform the consumers of how they could benefit from clean renewable energy.

3. Proper marketing is favorable to the recommendation of experts

Experts are the best back-up for a renewable energy company. People would listen better to experts using renewable energy rather than celebrities endorsing it without even vouching in for what they say. Expert opinions matter, not only in marketing but in improving quality of renewable energy products simultaneously with sales.

4. Total customer satisfaction should be met with a smileTo meet up with the expectations of consumers is practically what a renewable energy company should be focusing on. It must continuously reinvent itself so that it would constantly offer something fresh to the public.

It would build up company character and confidence in the long run. To live up to expectations and to surpass it as a main objective would build a stronger renewable energy company.

5. Renewable energy marketing can win the heart of the government

The government is one of the biggest consumers in the country to win the favor of the government means better investment, more jobs and of course a wider horizon for the company. To end this, it is better to stay true to what a renewable energy company advocate, a better world.

It is more than enough to say that the usage of renewable energy will sustain future generation. However, no matter how noble the advocacy may be, without proper marketing, these innovations might be as won’t gather much attention
